AKA PRODIASHVILI is 25 years old Georgian, Tbilisi-based designer, who has started his career as a stylist at the age of 15. He has worked with multiple local and worldwide magazines and participated in notorious projects like Be Next and Young Talents Competition in Kyiv, Ukraine.
He debuted with SS19 collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi, which has brought him a huge success, Aka was seen in Vogue and Dazed Magazine, the cover of Re-edition Magazine and many more, artists such as: Lady Gaga, Arca, Paris Hilton and others.
Few days before FW20 collection Runway, Aka was listed in Dazed 100 most influential people of 2019.
He presents colorful and flamboyant collection, where all the details are exploring the queer culture, his work combines manly tradition with a feminine aesthetic, pushing the boundaries with masculinity and continuing the aesthetics of drag queens, mixed with black comedy fantasy. Prodiashvili`s collections are an exotic forest, which turns everything into contemporary, gender blurring interpretations. Innovation comes together in every sketch and it is all based on the duality of culture and identity, he develops a hybrid wardrobe, carefully staged in daring theatrical show.
