MATERIEL SS21

Spring-Summer 2021 returns to the brand’s core DNA by bringing back the iconic Materiel silhouettes, minimalist approach, and femininity.

Two-piece dresses are offered in different cuts for versatility – adding more value to a woman’s wardrobe. A neutral color palette allows adaptivity enabling women to easily navigate through her styling choices.

Rigid leather is juxtaposed with lightweight organza and silk printed scarfs. Midi dresses and classic blouses are cut in unexpected shapes. Masculine shoulders are balanced out with belts and cinched waist defining the female figure.

LE CHIC RADICAL SS21

Le Chic Radical SS21 is about concept of duality forming a harmony and balance within, two opposing and complementing halves that together complete wholeness.

Looking to ancient and sacred symbols, designers created solid sterling silver pieces with an emphasis on softly sculptural silhouettes.

Individualistic designs, that go beyond seasons and trends, enhancing the human body and aestheticising traditions of pure crafts.

RECKLESS SS21

Reckless – the first collection

The main concept of the collection – Run Away

Escape from clichés, traditions, outdated and irrelevant values, home, school, church…

The idea of escape precisely encapsulates the entire collection. Each item we have created reflects the greatest desire to run away.

Escape from home – our houses and household items symbolize large Georgian families, where Soviet-born grandparents, civil war-born parents from depressed post-Soviet Georgia, and adults born in a free country live together. Childhood passes along with imposing completely mutually exclusive ideologies – outdated, ascetic forms of upbringing from the older generation, false freedom from parents, romanticized criminal life on the streets.

Escape from family pressures expressed with the one and the same already fed up things that are kept in almost every Soviet family and which the older generation takes care of more than themselves. “Madonna’s Service” is a kind of dishware that is only needed to be put on the shelf and its practical use is not allowed. Cupid embroidered on clothes is a fragment taken from “Madonna’s Service”, which is simultaneously an ancient god of sadness and love.

Escape from school – the silhouettes of school uniforms, harshness, carnations – the symbol of the first day of school. This form conveys the school routine, a system of education rooted in the Soviet Union fighting against diversity and creativity, which uses completely amortized, rigorous methods trying to enroll school students in a common exemplary image.

Escape from clichés, from the church, from false values – this idea is expressed in the collection along the line of philosophy “Thus Spoke Zarathustra” – a monument to the human supernatural.

This was the favorite book of Nika Joradze to which Reckless is dedicated. Nika was exploring life through the chaos – the only way of the reinvention of the self. We believe, one is incapable of creating anything important, anything beyond oneself in any form without going through the chaos. We must hold onto our potential for change and in so doing we can continue to be creative and strive to become something more than we currently are – a dancing star.

KEBURIA SS21

The new woman is a fictional celebrity, who lives a luxurious fashion life. She no longer buys trendy and upto-date clothes and does not want to look like anyone else. So her wardrobe is curated by personal vintage shoppers and stylists. She gets very tired from all the attention in public places, so she is wearing sunglasses all the time. One of them called “Haters Gonna Hate”.

She is a bit asocial. She likes animals more and mostly tells her problems to them, as she thinks animals will understand her better than people. Sadly, everyone thinks she is cruel because of her intellect and manner of dressing and because she never says how much good she…

The SS21 collection is portrayed in a pastel gradient palette of peach, mint, lavender and lilac, pink and bubblegum pink colors of silk, organza and viscose fabrics. There are sailor inspired uniforms with oversized collars, which the brand has shown various times in different ways, organza blouses with balloon-style oversized sleeves, silk dresses with capes, and cropped vintage blazers with vintage style buttons.

The collection is also available on JOOR

DATUNA SS21

The menswear-inspired look is a powerful message behind Datuna’s SS21 collection. It’s a power move for women who lift their voices and get louder. The collection is an example of how ladies update their styles by incorporating menswear essentials into their wardrobes. At the same time, femininity, quality, and the color is the common thread. The collection is infused with hand-embroidered details, origami pleats that represent Datuna’s idea of a high standard of haute couture. The color palette features black and white with shots of fuchsia. Textures always play a key role in the designer’s collections: silk, velvet, organza, leather, suede. The accessories add the finishing touch with leather bags and silver jewelry. High heels as a statement is a must. Here Masculine meets Feminine that hits the right balance.

TAMRA SS21

The format of the presentation is a short video work presenting SS21 collection ‘Mental Objects’.

As always our work is a blend of different multimedia fields : fashion, sound design, music graphic design and more…

The collection is based on the fusion of Islamic veils and modern daywear. The idea behind it is a simple vision of our future, in a post-pandemic space, where our faces and identities have lost their value, whereas the garments covering our bodies have gained the meaning of power.

MUZARADI SS21

This MUZARADI collection tells a story of a relationship: between traditional and modern; old and new; yesterday and today. How do we synchronize? How do we merge? How do make something that belongs to ancient history relevant, practical, usable, and wanted in the here and now? How does the combination of music, art, fashion and history make us cope in these uncertain and often unreal times? Where are the lines between visible and invisible defenses? Here: when we surround ourselves with music, beautiful objects of art, lots of bright light and Muzaradi.

The music for the collection is bespoke and reflects the energy of the pieces, a mix of classics and modern electronic tunes. The authors and performers are pioneers of electronic music in Georgia and contemporary legends of classical music: Zagareli & Strings, Nika Machaidze ,Tusya Beridze…who collaborated to bring these magical tunes to our MUZARADI collection.
